I have the biggest crush on Brandon Boyd, the lead singer of Incubus. In fact, I have a sweatshirt that has his face on it and I make sure that no one else gets to use it and that it is washed with care so that the print would not fade. My family always teased me about this obsession but I do not mind since I am not ashamed of this adoration – Brandon Boyd is a cool artist and I am proud that I am his fan.

You might wonder why I like him so much. This is because I find his skill for art and music incredibly cool. He has this ability to write the most beautiful songs, he can obviously write poetry and he has drawn and painted some of the most amazing art that I have ever seen. He is definitely an artist in every sense of the word.

How to Fit In and Be an Irish

I went to Ireland for a vacation last Christmas and I was very blown away with the culture and history of the place. Touring around with an Irish sweatshirt on, I had this sudden urge to become a part of the Irish culture. I simply fell in love with the country and its culture.

I like the fact that even if Ireland had a somehow sad and painful history somewhere, the people remain very jolly and happy. There were a lot of joy, dancing, music and good literature. The Irish cuisine is also delicious. Everything seemed to be about having fun and celebrating good times at an ancient and fairy tale like setting.

I found a lot of ways to fit in and be one with the people and sharing in their culture. I obviously was not just satisfied with wearing an Irish sweatshirt. I wanted to be one of them. I even went so far as imitating the Irish look and I loved it. I had my hair dyed red like most of the people there have. I came out with flaming red locks that looked good in my fair complexion. It even brought out the green in my eyes. It was a move I never regretted.

I also wore a lot of green and orange which I noticed is the traditional hues of the country. They are the colors of the Irish flag after all and I notice that the Irish folks wear them with a lot of pride. One thing I loved about Ireland is the dancing. A friend taught me how to do the Irish dance.
